Do It for the Boys presents images of the Los Angeles Rebellion, one of the United States’ four original Queer/Inclusive rugby teams, as they return for their twentieth season amid increasingly anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric nationwide.

A member of the team for 6 years, I began photographing the Rebellion after a dislocated leg forced me to the sidelines.

"'Do It for the Boys' is a tender show about a violent sport. It follows the social-documentary tradition of Danny Lyon, known for his 1960s images of fellow riders in the Chicago Outlaws motorcycle club, and Boston School photographers such as Nan Goldin and Jack Pierson, who covered the queer underground here in the 1970s and ‘80s."
